Bible - Mr. Sullivan

Welcome to the Bible class page! We are excited to be students of the Bible at
The Covenant School in the Bible classroom each week. We have been going
on adventures through God's Holy Word this year and have been applying the
Scriptures to our lives. The Holy Spirit is our Chief Teacher, but I am
thrilled to be guiding us through the curriculum this year. As you know,
this is my first year at TCS, and I have so enjoyed meeting and getting to know
each and every student and family. When students come to Bible class, they
are ready for their hearts and minds to be changed. We are taking the
lessons learned here back to our classrooms and our homes.
Our morning times of chapel start our day off. We spend time as a school
family singing, praying and hearing a short lesson from the Bible to give
direction to the day of learning ahead. Our school theme verse for the
year comes from the Gospel According to Mark, chapter 12, where Jesus is
telling the people what are the two greatest commandments:
"Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is One. And you shall
love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with
all your mind, and with all your strength. And love your neighbor as
yourself."
Our theme for chapel this year comes from Matthew 5:16 --- "Letting Our
Light Shine." Each month we'll be looking at a different aspect
of how we can let the light of Christ shine within us.
August's chapel theme was "The
Greatest Commandment"
September's chapel theme is "Letting Our Light Shine by Being
Obedient"
October's chapel theme is "Letting Our Light Shine by Telling the
Truth"
I want to be available to each student for prayer, counsel, conflict
resolution, even corny jokes (I have plenty, just ask my kids). I look
forward to seeing you in the Bible room and in chapel!
