5th and 6th Grades - Dr. Graham
The 6th graders visited the Parthenon in October to conclude their study of Greek mythology and their practice of note-taking skills. The 6th graders also visited Cheekwood and completed a writing assignment about the American Art exhibit there; they had fun seeing all the scarecrows exhibited throughout the gardens as well. On November 30, the 5th and 6th graders will visit Carnton Plantation in Franklin for Blue and Gray Day, which features demonstrations and exhibits of life during the Civil War era. The students will learn the Civil War history of the Carnton mansion and also visit the Confederate cemetery there.
