This Week
The task of the modern educator is not to cut down jungles, but to irrigate deserts. C.S. Lewis
Mr. Jordan - 5th and 6th Grades
What an exciting time in the upper school! The students are challenged daily in taking our knowledge deeper, moving into application of the concepts we learn. Fifth grade science students are learning how the world of science investigation is exciting and driven by detailed plans and variable manipulation. Conclusions are based on the relationships of the data recorded and the variables explored. Those relationships are being represented in graphs, showing the students the mathematical nature of scientific experimentation. The sixth grade science class continues their research and exploration of the power of the sun and its affect on all of life. Both math classes have been dealing with scientific notation and relevance to their world. Coming up, the fifth graders will be exploring geometry while the sixth graders take their journey into algebraic studies. The ancient history class is working on group presentations that dig into the life and times of ancient Egypt. Exciting times at The Covenant School. Continue to lift your students up in prayer as they seek God's truth. Trip Links
