Beginning of the Year Parent Letter.doc Celebrate Hispanic Heritage month by attending a puppet production in Spanish! Edmonson Pike Public Library presents Tomás y la Señora de la Biblioteca Tomas and the Library Lady This Puppet Show will be conducted in Spanish by volunteers from the Nashville Main Library on Saturday, September 27, 2008 at 3pm. It will be a great experience for your children if you can attend! The show is based on Tomas Rivera, a boy from a family of a migrant workers, and the librarian who changed his life by introducing him to the joy of reading books. Check out their website for locations and times. Search for Bilingual Story Time. The next Bilingual Story Time @ Edmonson Pike Branch Library is Saturday, October 11 @ 11am. I attended last Saturday and enjoyed listening to children's books read in both Spanish and English. The Bilingual Story Time is a great opportunity for your children to hear the Spanish language and understand what is being said through pictures and listening to both languages! This event is most appropriate for children in grades Pre-K-2nd.
